Another Beautiful Baby Afghan

Organizing a bunch of files between some backup drives, I found this picture of a blanket I knitted for my great nephew B.  Once again my favorite Bernat Baby Coordinates, this time in the color called "His Jeans".

Another Reason to Knit Socks

Saw this on the Web this afternoon. Here when I thought socks were only for feet. Leave off the toes of the sock and make leg holes and you get http://www.cuteoverload.com/2012/02/16/knitting-for-beginneaws

Amigurumi!!!

I'm a geek, so naturally the first Amigurumi I knit is a "Pocket Protector", of course. Isn't he just the cutest thing? He fits perfectly in the breast pocket of a medical lab coat. He is out of the book Knitting Mochimochi: 20 Super-Cute Strange Designs for Knitted Amigurumi. I plan to make the adorable slippers and many of the others. He's made out of Red Heart yarn with child-proof eyes.

Little M's Easter Dress

Running a little behind here. Bear with me. :) On August 19, 2010, I became Granna to the most gorgeous little redheaded girl. In anticipation of her arrival, I began work on this dress with the hat and the bloomers. It should be the perfect size at Easter this year. It's made of my longtime favorite, Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn. The dress is called Savannah Ruffled Baby Set. I saw the pattern on Annie's Attic and knew it was perfect for the darling baby girl I was waiting to meet.

Knit Your Own Dog

I think I'm going to have to get this book. Totally eliminates the need for housebreaking! :P

Tea Cozy Causing a Stir

Now this is one big tea (T) cozy. Check out the commotion.

More Stuff I Made Before

I was gathering things up the other day and putting away some winter stuff when I came across these. I made the hat for myself because my head was cold. It's a little big since washing, but it comes down over my ears, which was my goal. It's the thick Lion Brand chenille in black. If you've never worked in black chenille, my suggestion is a LOT of light. It's very difficult to see your stitches if there's not enough light. It might be easier knitting in lower light. I'll have to get back to you on that. I haven't tried it yet. The scarf is the same yarn. DH said I never made him anything so I made him the scarf. He likes it because it's nice and toasty.
